Callie has a conversation with Chris Matheson, author of The Story of God: A Biblical Comedy about Love (and hate). A hilarious look into the mind of God.

We also hear an amazing story from our new friend Geoff about his journey out of Mormonism and how having a child confirmed his atheism.

    Hi Callie,

I have wanted to contact you for some time. I can not find an email for you. I only can find a Facebook and a Twitter, which are both far to public for my safety.

  2. Michelle says:

    Hi Callie,
I’m a cis-woman, married 18 yrs with two children and recently on Twitter I received a comment in reply to my protest to the idea that women who dress “wrong” ask to get raped. An apparent Christian Right-wing responded with the comment “Get lost, transsexual pervert!” At first I was taken aback that I would be mistaken for a trans, but immediately I was offended more at the idea that, if I were trans, I would be labeled a “pervert”.

Although I’ve considered myself an LGBT ally for many years, (we named our firstborn after a lesbian friend) this tiny Twitter exchange forced me to check my privilege in a way I’ve never experienced before. I couldn’t help but think of you and the fantastic work you are doing to help educate those who may be uncomfortable but willing to learn. Thank you for your courage and your fortitude, helping the world to better understand the LGBT community!
    True warm regards,

    1. Callie Wright says:

Hey Michelle, thank you so much for the kind words! We’re all confronted with our own privilege in unexpected ways sometimes. I think its awesome that’s a thing you put thought into considering =D
